        In September 2014, the City of Moreno Valley established Customer Care Standards to
        enhance the quality of service provided to citizens, visitors, people working in Moreno
        Valley, people working with staff on a project, and fellow City employees.  All City employees
        are expected to follow these standards in their daily interactions with others; as a result,
        this emphasis on the Customer Care Standards has fostered a culture of exceptional
        customer service throughout the City.

        Moreno Valley Utility (MVU) models these standards and provides exceptional service to
        all of its customers.  MVU’s core values reflect a focus on customers and the community
        to enhance the quality of life for Moreno Valley and the region.  Whether developing new
        programs that save utility customers money or providing new ways to increase customer
        awareness  of  their energy  usage,  MVU  remains  rooted  in its  mission  to  provide  safe,
        reliable, and economical public electric service for all.

        This  report  highlights  the  accomplishments  of  MVU  during  fiscal  year  2017/2018.
        Throughout the report you will find the Customer Care Standards highlighted as they
        apply  to  the  achievements  made  by  the  utility.   Additionally,  you  will  find  testimonials
        from both business and residential customers applauding MVU for providing “Service That
        Soars”.

        On behalf of the Mayor, Council, Management, and staff, we thank you and appreciate the
        opportunity to serve the community of Moreno Valley.
