PUBLIC POWER
Moreno Valley Electric Utility is a public power utility that has been proudly
serving customers since 2004. We strive to not only meet our customers’
needs, but provide mutual benefits to the entire community as well. We
measure our success by being safe, reliable, affordable, and responsive to our
customer-owners.
Living in a public power community means you own your electric utility and
can participate in the decision making process. It means you benefit from
affordable energy, better service, and a utility that cares about the overall
well-being and growth of our community. As a public power utility MVU does
not serve shareholders, but instead dedicates itself to its customer-owners
and the City of Moreno Valley.

MVU continues to expand through partnerships with local business, industry,
and residential developers. Together we build our electric distribution
system to match the needs of our growing community. Meeting those energy
needs in a safe and reliable fashion are among our top priorities. As a public
power provider, MVU’s services, programs, and rates are all approved by
local elected and appointed officials who represent the best interests of our
community. Together, we provide electrical services to all on a not-for-profit
model, reinvesting into the local community every step of the way.
