City Staffi ng

In 2011, the City employed 426 career staff, but due to the Great Recession, that number fell drastically as shown below. Currently,
the City employs 362. The ability to maintain low staffi ng levels is due to increased operational effi ciency and investments in
technology. As compared to both surrounding and similar sized cities, the focus on effi ciencies has allowed Moreno Valley to
be staffed at half of the average staffi ng and continue to provide savings to the public.
