City Library

The Library and its literacy programs play an important role in the City of Moreno Valley. All Moreno Valley residents can use the library, and obtain a library card to check out materials, use public computers, and access Wi-Fi.

Winter Reading Challenge
December 21-January 31

Readers of all ages can sign up online at moval.beanstack.com/reader365 or in-person at any Moreno Valley Public Library branch. Online registration begins Saturday, December 21, and the program runs through Friday, January 31st. Participants receive a free book for signing up, while supplies last. Simply read 15 minutes a day for 7 days to earn a prize. All prizes must be claimed in person.

Personas de todas las edades pueden inscribirse en línea en moval.beanstack.com/reader365 o en persona en cualquier sucursal de la Biblioteca Pública de Moreno Valley. La inscripción en línea comienza el sábado 21 de diciembre y el programa se extiende hasta el viernes 31 de enero. Los participantes reciben un libro gratis por inscribirse, hasta agotar existencias. Children Get a Head Start, Thanks to Moreno Valley Public Library

Children and their parents are getting an important head start on their reading–and their future academic success–thanks to a partnership between Moreno Valley Public Library and the 1000 Books Foundation. Moreno Valley Public Library is making it easier than ever to participate in 1000 Books Before Kindergarten®, a fun challenge, established by the 1000 Books Foundation.

Moreno Valley Public Library Now Has Zip Books

The innovative Zip Books Program provides Moreno Valley Public Library cardholders with speedy access to books that are not available in library collections. A patron requests a print book or audiobook, and the Library purchases it from Amazon. The book is then shipped directly to the patron’s home at no charge.

Moreno Valley Public Library Now Offers Kanopy

Moreno Valley Public Library (MVPL)’s digital offerings just got better with the addition of a new video streaming service – Kanopy. Stream over 30,000 critically acclaimed movies, documentaries, educational courses, and kids favorites through Kanopy. Library cardholders are allotted 20 Kanopy tokens a month (reset each month).
